Dungeness Crab Cakes
One of the best and most tasty species of crab is the Dungeness crab. One of the favorite of crab lovers is always crab cakes so why not combine the two. This is a great recipe for Dungeness Crab Cakes bringing the best of both worlds for you Dungeness crab lovers.
2 cups Dungeness Crabmeat
3 tbl-spoons Mayonnaise
1 Egg (beaten)
1 cup Bread Crumbs (soft)
1/4 cup Green Onions (minced)
1/4 cup Celery (minced)
1 dash Hot Sauce
Salt + Pepper
3 tbl-spoons Vegetable Oil
Flour
In a bowl combine your mayonnaise , bread crumbs , egg , green onion , celery , hot sauce , and salt + pepper to taste and mix together well. Now gently fold in your crab meat until well mixed. Place in fridge and let chill overnight or 4-5 hours at a minimum for flavors to infuse. Then remove from fridge and shape your mixture into four seperate and evenly sized cakes approx 3-4 inches in thickness. Then dust your crab cakes lightly with flour. Now in a skillet heat your vegetable oil on medium high heat then lay your crab cakes in gently and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach a nice golden brown.
